RPB - your GMT looks fine to me. If the clasp and/or bracelet edges have been slightly 'softened', it's not glaringly so. It's actually kind of hard to tell from the 'after' photo anyway, as the focus isn't great, so everything looks a little softer & fuzzier than it probably is in reality. Whilst loss of lines is never a good thing, I'd be more bothered if it was on the case, and less so the bracelet. Either way, despite some preferring the previous 'lived-in' look, I think the watch as a whole looks better than before, which for me is the true acid test.

Thanks everyone. It is the light ding/scratches caused by clumsy bracelet removal that annoy me. So been thinking for a while now.

You should not have dings from changing bracelets. That's ridiculous. Maybe light surface scratches on the backs of the lugs, although those can be avoided too, if you use the Rolex 3200/Bergeon 7825. Dings though?

I can honestly say I have shipped off many Rolex's to the Rolex Service Centers and have seen even more that have returned and each time I was always impressed with their final finish quality. But I have seen some really botched jobs on the servicing of their movements.

My SS YM II 116680 was in due for service. The clasp had deep scratches, service center polished that area like new
