Insuring my SD4000 in the UK

Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a decent insurer for my watch in UK?
I really should get it insured with some of the unsavoury places I visit with work.
Cheers in advance.

Putting it on your house contents insurance (as a specified item) is always the cheapest option but I've heard Hiscox are good too.

This answer nails it, Home insurance is the best bet.

I'd just add to double-check specifically re the Specified Item part - most Policies will contain a Limit per single item when covering for 'All Risks' away from the home. Typically it's circa £1,500 - £2,000 max per item, and you won't be covered if you haven't specifically told Insurers about such items valued in excess of the Limit.

Hiscox offer a superior Policy - a bit more expensive but more cover & higher Limits.

I'm with M&S and they cover my watches however they cap it at 10k per watch which with the recent price rise in the UK it's getting quite close to the mark!

Renewal is in Sept so I'll see what they have to offer then or may have to shop around, I do remember a recent thread either on here or TZ where a few UK guys recommend a couple of other home insurance policies which would cover our watches cheaper then specialist policies.
