Curious. If the 'best deal' on a new Rolex amounts to 10-15% off MSRP + the possible elimination any sales tax for a 'walk-in' customer, what kind of discount (if any) would an AD employee typically receive?

One would imagine that it has to somewhat better than the average/typical retail customer. A 10-15% 'standard' discount + any employee discount could hypothetically elevate the discount into the 20-25% range and still leave the AD with a roughly 10% profit margin. Now if the AD/owner was really cool, he'd sell the Rolex at cost as a goodwill gesture towards his employees. Eliminate any sales tax and you really can't do any better than that.

So try and find someone who works for an AD and become friends with them.
