I actually offered to return the original box, papers, etc back to the AD, which I did the following week.

That is some sort of 'standard' for AD service. Doesn't get much better than that.

That sort of flaw is totally unacceptable, but on the other hand, the service you are getting from that AD/manager is outstanding! Enjoy your watch!
