Horrible and hilarious at the same time

They rent a ton of the exotics out here in Vegas, and you can't believe what I personally have witnessed being done to these thoroughbreds! But, 3hrs for $400 and you give a guy whose never respected anything like that before in his life, good chance this is going to be the end result.

Just glad no innocent people were killed due to an ego driven idiot who had no sense of vehicular control......this could quite easily have been on a right hand sweeper, where he has the possibility of crossing the center line and hitting an oncoming head on!

His famous last words 'But I'm a good driver'! Right before the crash.....

Downhill hard left in the canyons? Floor it!

He tried to slow down way too late. I gather he didn't know the road. Very lucky they didn't hop the barrier. Sounds like his gf should have been driving. She telegraphed the whole thing.

Edit: watching the vid again it appears he thought he could merely downshift instead of brake, downshift, apex, throttle. He was toast either way because he came in too hot.

Do you purchase insurance for these rentals or does it go through your own?

I don't get it. He plowed right into the barrier. He downshifted late and hit the brakes late but is there that much under steer or was there not enough time for the car to settle/transfer weight from back to front ?

We have no idea how fast he was really going.

My 458 did not have much understeer at all.

When you're going around a downhill corner trying to take it at a speed that is not ideal, and let's face it this guy probably had never driven a Ferrari, that all equates to serious trouble (plus we don't know he even downshifted correctly).

Bad news all around.

Downshift while braking hard fooled the ABS and he simply went straight off as the rear end began to swing out.
And there was so much room in the other lane!

That's sucks... but you see this over and over again. Driving cars like this takes responsibility.

Good point. You never want to be in that's position in the first place of course. Have to do your braking and then downshift long before you enter the turn.

Awesome! Nice soft landing into the guard rail. I see fools do this same thing with SUV's all the time, the Ferrari just makes it entertaining.

I'm sure the rental company builds in that cost. Maybe that's how they keep their fleet current.
