Icon4 yawns... which is the most repetitive thread on this forum?

from the outset, let me say i love this forum... i can spend many a happy hour reading, learning, admiring, laughing etc...

however, i have more recently seen a repetition of threads... in part due to an influx of new members (welcome by the way).

so my question to my fellow members is... which thread makes you yawn? moan? or groan?? (jj that is not groan in pleasure on sight of a sheep wearing a platty! lol)

some of the threads i yawn at are...

how do i clean my watch?
oh god i have a scratch!
i can only get 5% discount!
can i get it wet?
its 0.04 secs a month too slow...
i dont wear my watch everyday, why does it stop?
if i buy said watch, will it make me rich?
is my gmtII with the 3186 movement rarer/better?

etc etc you get the picture...

yes, i do understand that i dont need to read every thread...

on a constructive note maybe there should be a sticky on most common threads, or on how to use the search facility...

ps i hope i havent offended anyone in any way, shape or form.

How about:

Can I sleep with it on? I don't know, does it keep you awake.

Do you shower with it?

Do you play golf with it?

What wrist do you wear it on?

What winder should I get and/or do I need a winder.

What's a better investment / will hold value best?

SS Daytona. Nuh said.

My favorite today: Do you shake your arm? Are you sh*tting me?

That said, they are newbies that just haven't thought to try a search (no problem here) and discover their question gets asked weekly.

Prehaps we should have a Q&A section where newer members can be directed to, which answer those questions.

Just a thought!

Do you get the feeling we are running out of stuff to talk about.

As soon as I see a "Do you wipe your butt with your Rolex on" or a "Does masterbating frantically wind my Rolex?" thread I'm leaving to join another forum!!!!!

I'll probably offend some people (sorry!) but for the sake of having a laugh let's say my "least favorite" are:

1. What are you wearing this weekend? (who cares??)
2. should I buy a white milgauss or black one? (buy the one you like!)
3. What wrist do you wear it on? (why do you want to know?)
4. Is owning a rolex a privilege? (hmm.. deep, but I'm leaning towards "yes").

Let's be honest, some of these posts aren't only from newbies.

I like to look too, but it's always the same for me: 16610 so I guess I'm just jealous

The only thing I'll say on the "what are you wearing threads" (never started one) is that it leads to nice pics at times.

I'm sure that most Rolex topics have been done several times before, they say there's nothing new under the sun, I've no problem seeing threads repeated as its probably quite valid to the poster.

Never had much luck with the search facility myself, probably me though
