A good watchmaker in NYC

Can anyone recommend a good watchmaker in NYC. I have a Super Jubilee arriving tomorrow to put on my BLNR. This clearly will not be something that the Rolex Service Center would handle as they surely will view it as a mod. I don't want to walk into just any jeweler and give them this job. Does anybody have a recommendation for a jeweler/watchmaker who could size this and handle the jubilee/oyster swap? Thanks in advance!

Absolutely, Henry Ly at WatchmakingProject.com

He's already done great work for me several times. Great guy, highly recommended.

To size and install a jubilee bracelet? Why not do it yourself? It's a simple procedure.

I wondered this, I have a DJ II.. when Rolex decides to make a jubilee that's SS that will fit my DJ II, would Rolex put it on my watch for me if I brought it to them?

No, if it's not as factory, they will not.

It is after all a simple swap to do, assuming you have some dexterity, and don't have a thumb in the middle of your palm!

The only watch tool I have is a spring bar tool that came with my Speedmaster. Do i need to by a screwdriver and or pin removal tool? Is there a set of watch tools that a lot of folks recommend using in their Rolex bracelets?

I have used Aaron Faber for my vintage watches for service, and I work near Grand Central Watch and find them to be great. Both good options for a walk in with help like that. Fair warning doing the bracelet yourself is not difficult but it is easy to scratch and scuff the case and bracelet if you do not prep correctly or proceed carefully.

Just my $.02
