Totally agree!

Absolutely love the JLC history and the subtle class of the watch and much of their line. Also love that they are a relatively obscure brand; someone who wears JLC likely has more than a passing interest in timekeeping! |

I think JLCs are well made mechanically, but lazily decorated until you get into the upper $40K+ range - in which there are better options.
Compare a $15K Lange to a $15K JLC and you'll see how unimpressive the latter is. That being said, I think a Reverso is a must have based on design alone. I chose the Calendar as I enjoy the sapphire cashback, though the 1931 Tribute is a much sleeker piece. |

I have come to the conclusion that I'm only interested in independents. To me this means Rolex, AP, and PP.
I keep trying (and failing) to like the PP sport models. I've been and done AP....thoroughly enjoyed them, but they were flipped and I came back to Rolex in a PM way.

I appreciate what you're saying, but I never wear a suit....dress watches simply don't interest me.

While I love my JLC, the finishing can be better. And yes, Reverso is iconic. Get it. |

I never dress up much, so dress watches are not for me.

Great company and great watches, I've wanted the Reverso for years and yet I've bought a dozen or so watches in the timeframe, none of which have been JLC. Maybe one day when I'm a grown-up they will be irresistible but for now prefer others.

just took the plunge with my first jlc.
reverso is defo on the radar at some future point, but first up went for steel sport with the master compressor chronograph 2. had briefly considered the ceramic pieces, but too large for me at 46mm so far so good. :-) |

Not a 'must have' but absolutely 'nice' to own one or more in the collection.

This... but do I really appreciate what JLC has to offer? I most certainly do appreciate JLC timepieces!

I have two that I really like, but I am not wearing them much now. I have too many others that are taking all the wrist time, like my Patek Philippe watches.
They are great watches, however. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes: apart from being a leading producer of some amazing well finished movements with nice anglage and Geneva Wave finishing - Duometre, Gyrotoubillon, Hybris Mechanica - you also have an iconic line with the Reverso.
If you could only have 3 watches you would be hard pushed to do better without spending a lot more money than a Reverso, Speedmaster Pro, and a Sub. |

Very nice JLC pics here. JLC is a very respectable watchhouse. If they had better marketing, their watches will probably be a lot more desirable / popular. I feel they are often under-rated.
Here's my new JLC Duometre in WG :cheer:

The Geophysic True Seconds looks pretty nice. I think it compares with a DJ.

I innherited the Atmos from an aunt. Then I read some nice things about the brand and got the Master Compressor Geographic. Got the Reverso a couple of weeks ago. I think this probably completes my collection of JLC. I don't know if they are a "must have", but the more I have learned about the brand and its history, the more I enjoy them.
