Hong Kong Intl Airport.

About to head home. Came across the Intl airport Rolex Store. 2 storeys.
Didn't go in, too afraid of what might happen if I did. Lol.
I did take some photos of the window stock. They are priced, happy to upload if it's allowed by Forum Admin

Question. If the store is a Rolex Store. Do we describe it as the an AD seller. Or do we call it the Rolex Store? I've not read anywhere here where someone went to the "Rolex" shop. Always my "local" AD.
Like buying a iPad from the Apple Store compared to an electronics store. It doesn't sound right to me calling it an AD seller when it's the Brand itself.
Does anyone give a sh%#t? Lol. OCD.

It's called a Rolex Boutique. There are several here among the roughly 70 ADs. They usually carry only Rolex and Tudor, but the airport place is Rolex only.

I was just there last week. Of course I had to drop in to see if they had any sports models. There were absolutely none available. They told me they try to stock at least one of every single variation of Rolex. Prices were pretty high compared to Canada, where I'm from. Also the discounting wasn't that aggressive.

There was an Omega, IWC and JLC boutique in the same area, tried on some JLC's. Starting to like them.

One of the best airports in the world, IMO. Great shopping, dining and traveling facilities.

That place is a tourist trap. Won't bother with it.

I have been to the Rolex boutique inside HKG airport. The salespeople are friendly. They carry a lot of gold watches with an emphasis on diamond. It probably reflects the customers they serve.

Nice to have a look but generally fairly similar to the other AD's. The cheapest generally would be the stores in TST around Granville or Haiphong Rd

Do you think this boutique has any black or white dial ceramic bezel Daytona Cosmographs (11650LN) in the store, or is there a years-long waitlist there, too?

They pretty much said sport models are impossible to keep stocked and for sure they will never have any Daytona available anytime soon. I was there last week.

I was hunting for a bluesy in HK. Went to a store part a large jewelry brand who offered me no more than 5% discount, telling me they couldn't do more as they are not officially a Rolex store, as part of this jewelry chain store. Then I went to this HK airport store and they told me no more than 5% discount... just as if they were themselves not "really" an AD as well. It made me think they are not the best deal place anyway. I haven't tried real AD in HK yet, but heard they can go for much better discounts. HK airport boutique has a large choice however, where you might find pieces difficult to source elsewhere.

All HK Rolex ADs and Boutiques offer 5% discount as standard on most models. It's very difficult to get more than that, though. Resellers should be able to do very much better than that on a bluesy.
