Quote:
The first series appear more muscular, whereas the second is trying for a light elegance that does little for the overall look. The first series accentuates the horizontal, and thus enhances the horizontal themes, while the second series stops the horizontality by drawing attention to the radial design and the wheel centers. It is nice that the brakes are more visible in the second series, but that doesn't make up for the debits.

The wheels in Pic 1 look much better if you looking for the stock look. If you want something a little more sporty, keep looking.
I don't like the wheels in Pic 2 at all. |

Pictures number one. The second ones look like they would be on a pimpmobile. No offense but they do not go with the car at all.

First pic. I don't think the ones in the second pic fit the look of the car.

Wow, no wonder I'm on my 4th set of wheels... I actually like the second better. The first set look clunky to me (OEM stature aside). Go figure... different strokes I guess.

Are both pics of your car? The reason I ask is that in the top photo the car looks to be lowered and much sportier than in the 2nd pic. I think that may be a consideration when choosing the wheels.

Top. IMO the finer 'spoke' pattern is too small in scale relative to the simple lines of the car. Too fussy methinks.

1st ones - they are more of a classical AMG style wheels for Mercs.
it looks great with deeper "dish/lip" on the rear wheels. |
