Rolex Non-AD Stores in Tokyo Experiences?

Anyone have experience buying Rolex / Luxury watches in non-authorized distributior stores in Tokyo, Japan?

Stores such as BIC Camera, NJ-Time Ginza and others, as generally their prices are lower than ADs

Is it generally safe to buy Rolex in Japan? or does anyone have experience buying counterfeit in these parallel distribution stores?

Generally safe to buy from these grey dealer stores in Tokyo, as it's illegal to sell fake branded stuffs. Many are located in downtown Tokyo, so you may want to pay a visit instead. Some of them offer tax refunds as well.

Do the grey dealers usually offer international warranty cards with new watch purchases in Tokyo?

You get the usual Rolex warranty card (dated & AD stamped) and some store include their store warranty as well.

Thanks man, just scared that these dealers would be opening the watch changing the movement and such. So far no stories heard of anything like these?

The grey dealers is Tokyo give really good deals, and with the devaluation of the yen it really is a very good deal

I will be looking to get a sub no date and a grand seiko while I'm there next month.
There were a few threads talking about the grey dealers and such.

You can choose to buy from AD if it worries you.

Depends on where you are staying but I highly recommend going to Jack Road at Nakano Broadway. There are a lot of non-AD dealers in that building and prices seem to be very reasonable. It is a great place to visit, tons of dealers and tons of watches.

Use the search function to find some older topics for Tokyo
But in general I have to say Japanese are terrific sellers with one of the best attitudes I've ever encountered and a VERY high-quality standard for used watches
Shinjuku area has many great stores
Google Komehyo, Houseki Hiroba and GMT-J for a sneak peek at their inventory (not even half of it is online)

Bic Camera rocks. Limited selection but NIB with all the trimmings. The prices there just can't be beat.

Everything is there, prices are not any cheaper than anywhere else. Nothing is cheap in Japan especially in Ginza. Shinjuku is reasonable to a degree

If you're paying in dollars should get some good deals. The Dollar is strengthening against the Yen.
