AP boutique in Beijing china
Was in Beijing China last week and visited the AP boutique. They have all the new pieces available. One thing I found out is that they offer 8 years warranty and with 9% VAT refund, seems like pretty good deal. Also, there used to be 3-4 ADs in the city, and they were all closed. I guess AP has begun to aggressively implementing their new strategy of closing down ADs and opening their own boutiques.

Can't imagine their prices being competitive. There is a 17% VAT tax in China before anything else and on top of that, there's luxury tax I think. That's why most locals will buy luxury goods when they travel instead of within China.

I Believe the luxury tax is being phased out but i am not sure over how long of a period. So I am curious what the price differential is between China and USA

AP has been getting very aggressive around the world and trying to shut down some dealers that they don't think think perform well. I've recently heard that they closed down two ADs and even the ADs met their annual sales amount, but still got shut down. because they were the last two in the country.

The RG is selling $48,500. With 9% VAT refund, foreigners can get it around $44K. 15400 is listed at $19,275.
