Winding & Scratching
I have the below PAM 111. I find that when I wind the watch up, my thumb is continually scratching the polished part of the case. It's not like I have fingers made of sandpaper. Never have this problem with any of my other watches, as the crown will come out one position prior to being wound, where the PAM stays flush against the case. Suggestions other than moisturizing my hands. Haha.

This is common to polished cases. Prone to swirl like /hair line scratches.
What i did is get a cloth and wind the pam with the cloth in between my fingers and crown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Try a surgical rubber glove and use the tips of your fingers might just work for you, please do not under any circumstances try and repolish the case/bezel with a so called polishing cloth it will end in disaster good luck with the glove.

I think of my nicks on my 111 as part of panerai ownership , they will always get nicked here and there , I just don't mind anymore . I just enjoy wearing it

I wind from the backside of case to avoid any possible rubbing on the polished bezel. I hope this is ok?

I have never seen this with mine and I tend to be ocd. I do wash my watch daily. Perhaps your watch or hands is slightly contaminated with some micro grime?? A cape code cloth is a polished case best friend.
