Quick Question about my first Rolex

I just got my first Rolex YachtMaster and was wondering just how durable Rolex watches are? What are some things to do to ensure safety for my watch?

Do a search here on "is it safe..."

P.s. It's extremely durable, and there's not much you can't do, if anything.

Don't hit it with a hammer. Don't place it in a hydraulic press. Don't leave it on the roof of your car and drive away. Don't land on it if you wreck your motorcycle. Don't put it on a golf tee and try to drive it down a fairway. Don't submerge it in a vat of acid. That's about all I have but you get the drift. Your YM is a tank. The PCL's will get scratches, get over it immediately. And it's only rated to 330ft below sea level so don't push the diving too far.

Most importantly enjoy it! Congrats on the new acquisition!

This and, don't used it as a bullseye for target practice, weld with it, or take it into an MRI machine.

I've had mine for nearly 2 months, I was worried about bezel marks but it seems fine to me, I don't even think about it now.

All of the steel models are built like a tank, so just don't sweat it, wear and enjoy. If it gets marked up, you can always have it fixed up at its regular service interval.

@Neil: Beautiful shot, my friend.

Yes, tough watches, but use common sense. Your watch should be able to handle almost everything your wrist can... (Avoid strong magnets though... Speakers, ipad covers etc...)

Pictures like this make me wonder why I want a SD4K (especially the about to be announced green version).
