Icon2 Tudor DNA

I was just looking through some old ads, and it struck me how similar the current Ranger is to the earliest Prince models from the early 1950s - from the dial layout to the Oyster-style bracelet with straight end links.

No doubt. I have a sinking feeling they will be announcing that they have done something to deface this reference tomorrow afternoon.

My FIL has a Tudor Sub from 1966 and it says Rolex on the back. Seems the two companies were like peas in a pod back in the day

They were, and still are, although the connection is much less apparent and not at all advertised these days.

I hope not, Brandon. I was expecting that in 2015 and last year, too.

I think Tudor is one of the few watch companies that is currently doing it right. Diverse line-up and a link to the past with the updates. The price is right and the trade values have stayed strong. Now for Basel 17 I hope they add a model or two that I would like to own.

Interesting how they go back to a different era and rediscover, down to the straight end links, a modern piece! Nice find
