I really liked the looks of it though I won't buy a gold watch with rubber strap.

Gold with rubber?? I overestimated Rolex's taste this year apparently...

The WG with steel /black panda looks stunning on the rubber strap. Definitely a serious consideration for me.

This is my fave. WG, Panda, Oysterflex, looking forward to trying this on. And the YG. Rubber is common with AP and PP, Rolex are just trying to get there, esp when they have the best strap of them all.

I was hoping for it on a Oyster Braclet myself. Better luck next year.

I like the look of it in both YG and WG...but I was not expecting it on the oysterflex. Bold design choice and I will definitely look forward to trying it on. But I'm not jumping out of my seat in excitement over it. Still, it will be nice to see them in person.

Should have given us them on bracelets. The WG would have been sick.

Rubber on a non-dive watch makes little sense, IMHO. Nice black leather or gator, absolutely. Rubber? Why?

For only 28000 $ get this nice gold watch comes with a free rubber strap thingy. Seriously though They should do what VC does and include the bracelet and straps.

IMHO the Daytona is not a fancy/dressy watch. The rubber on RG and WG is perfectly at home. I am on the fence about the YG model. |

I prefer WG but the champagne dial on the DJ41 surprised me with how nice it is so it might still be an option if the silver/steel dial is not that great in real life. |

Yes, of course, anything can be done, including NATOs, and look OK. But rubber was originally intended for use on dive watches. Just doesn't look/seem right on a chronograph, IMHO, especially one as iconic as a Daytona. Same with a Speedy Pro. It just wouldn't be right. Maybe I'm too old school.
