Did I get a Hershey - Gauss?

A while back Steve (LOL-X) posted some pic's of his GV and he was saying how his dial looked more brown than black. Well I think I got one of the elusive brown dial Gauss's too.

What do you folks think, does this dial look like it was made by the Oompa Loompa's in Charlie's factory?

I like it - the brown that is. It's different.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about the rare part either. The folks with the GV's should post some pic's so we can figure this one out.

Wow, that's a pretty GMT, Robert.

On the Milgauss; if the crystal were taken off, would the dial look black?

They are all the same color dials, just depends on the lighting IMO.

As Scott said, depends on the light and angle you are looking at it

Felly I love the colour of your dial in that last photograph with the GV on your wrist, that looks fantastic, amazing, incredible.
So if your chocolate can look like that, I'm hoping so can mine.

Yep, been looking at mine. Seems to depend on the angle.

Mine also looks a little on the brown side. I love the dial because it is a little different. It is hard to tell in this pic.

Steve, I'm sure if you turn yours at different angles like I did mine it will look more black. It seems to appear brown in direct sunlight and then more black-ish in indirect sunlight or shade. Just do what I did and take that sucker outside with a camera and photograph the heck out of it in all different lighting situations. Another thing is, you can't really tell what color it's gonna look like till you take the pic's off the card, put them on your hard drive and look at them on your monitor.

I had a blast today taking over 100 pic's of my GV!

The DSSD is not that black either, maybe because of the curved crystal?

I think the curve and color of the crystal play a big part in what color the dial looks like.

Green colored crystal may play tricks on the color perception as well.
It would be nice if someone has the dial and take a picture outside of the watch so we can see the dial's real color.
