Urgent help needed!

While I own Panerai's, I am NOT an expert on how to identify fakes through pictures. I can, and have, in person, but not pictures. This action is about to end. Can anyone help me here and give your views WHY it is or isn't real? Much appreciated!!!!

is it common to create replicas for a watch that was clearly built for a special edition (and one I have not seen before, but know it exists?)

panerai subforum on watchuseek has some pretty knowledgeable people on it. Post it on the 'is this real' thread if you have any doubts.

Im no expert but it doesn't look good to me. There were a couple areas that caught my eye. The pin in the crown guard should be more flush. The detailing on the movement isn't finished as highly at what I've seen on authentic pieces. Panerai also will typically write what movement they are using on the rotor Example : (OPII) The teeth on the crown are usually machined with more precision. Also the magnification doesn't look like what I've seen on others.
The movement is the biggest area of concern for me though.

If you have the watch in person the easiest way to tell is by feeling the movement on the crown guard clasp. it should feel extremely stable when pulled out with zero play. Also when you push it back in the lever should feel snappy and very crisp.

Im no expert and there are some amazing talent on watchuseek like clyde said.

If I'm wrong and then i hope that i don't look like an idiot.

Crown guard, sub dials, movement, date pusher on side case is huge giveaway because a real PAM 222 doesn't have that!

HAHAHA good catch.
Maybe its a limited edition Panera model celebrating that Krispy Kreme just acquired them.
