Cruddy pics of our friends' watches

Our husband-and-wife friends from San Antonio just left from a visit with us, so I got a few pics. He is a Rolex WIS and I've tried to tempt him to join TRF, but he's awfully busy - still, he may show up here sooner or later! So, here are some pictures. Didn't turn out very well, but I hoped you guys would find lousy pics better than none at all.

By the way, he REALLY wants my husband to turn over his Explorer II to me - it doesn't get any wrist time anymore. Should he talk us into it?

Our buddy with my 8 year old and her mouse, Spot.

Lovely wife with her Tag Aquaracer:

Closeups of both:

Kinda liked the look!

Credit to Steph (Diamondgirl) for the idea for this shot:

He also brought a toy for my husband to play with:

All in all, a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Looks like you guys had a fun visit...

The tiger stripe Les Paul looks interesting.

Say Lisa - I saw you on SNL. You did a great job imitating Sarah Palin!

Great pics Lisa! I think the "Cruddy" nature of the pics is more a reflection of the dirtiness of the watch rather than the skill of the photographer.

The Daytona pictured is an early F series 4130 movement Daytona with the thin hands. Somewhat rare now days as they went to fat hands sometime in late 2003. As you can see it has been worn every day.

Lisa has been trying to get me to join this forum for some time. I will post pics of the safe queens aka green Sub and white latest edition 4130 Daytona with the fat hands and rehaut engraving.

I think Lisa needs a Daytona. Does look good on her.

Maybe, Karis. Well, at least we already have the Expy! I loved the way Edwin's Daytona looked.... but don't happen to have one laying around.

I know you've been thinking about another 40mm sport model... ever considered the Daytona?

You know I did go through a bit of an obsession with the white dial ss Daytona for a while but I got over it. I've tried it on a couple of times and while I think it's great looking, I'm not yearning to own one - good thing, considering its $10k price tag!

Come on Lisa, it's time to step up to the 40mm model. Everyone else is doing it.

And if you can manage to get the white Daytona away from Edwin, maybe we can work in a trade with a platinum YM.

Did you see his pictures in the New Members thread? It's a beaut.

As for the 40mm, I really would like to try the Expy. I guess I feel that it would be kind of overstated for me. But I'd have to actually wear it to know for sure.

Lisa,

I think it's only fair to Edwin that you disclose the addictive nature of this forum. Oh, wait, he's averaging almost 7 posts per day. Too late! Well, he can join me at the Recovering Rolex Addicts Support group here in SA :)

By the way the Daytona did look good on you.

Thanks for the great pics Lisa! You might warn Dave that if he continues to bend the strings like that the notes may turn blue!

Yes, poor Edwin. However, he has a few days off - next week may be a different story! I'll let him know about your RRASG. But what if he won't admit he has a problem?

Admitting the problem is the first step in recovery. I think the new name for the RRASG should be Rolex Addicts Group Support or R.A.G.S. cause that's what I'll be wearing is RAGS if I keep the current addiction going.
