Very interesting vintage article on panerai

Related to some of the sihh releases. (685/687)

https://perezcope.com/2017/02/08/vin...tion-purposes/

This guy has ruffled a few feathers but he appears to be spot on with most all of his points. However, in the world of vintage and missing documentation, no one can be 100% certain.

I'm not much of a Paneari fan, but I appreciate the technology and history of the brand.

Regardless, I think the 685/687 are stunning watches. Pondering one myself.

I don't think he is angry. Think he is pointing out how a few take advantage of frenzies. There are put together vintage Rolex, omega, etc also. More of a warning for people to know their stuff when shelling out 100-300k on a war watch. However anything goes on vintage...

I like the design obviously. Would love to own one this year, but likely not in the cards. Bad timing for me.

Just received my 687 this week and is way beyond busy at work to properly take some pictures or even wear it. I did peak inside the box and the watch dial is pretty cool and different. It is quite different. I have been out of the watch game for awhile but thought this was a great watch to get back in. I'll take some pictures next week after my business trip.

Hi Jose

I must say you did an excellent work in sorting out the historical accuracy and the technical relevancy of these vintage Pams. There is real passion there for sure.

I know you may show no love for the 721 but I had placed an order for the 721 because I love the anonymous dial and the fact that it really was used during WWII.

Please continue to invest time and effort with your excellent articles as they are a treasure pool for any Panerai aficionado!
