72200 vs 72600
Anyone know the difference between these 2 bracelets. The 72600 is the oyster that comes on the current 36mm DateJust but I have also seen reference to a 72200 oyster. Is it different number of removable links or is there some other difference?
Thanks. |

The only difference is the number of removable links. 4 (3+1) removable links on 72200 and 6 (4+2) on 72600. Total links is the same as the part attaching to the Watch with the SEL is 4 links on 72200 and 3 links on 72600. Both have easylink. |

Thanks. I had a feeling it would be in relation to the number of removable links. Does anyone know when Rolex switched to the 72600 for the DateJust?

I beleive the 72200 does not have the easylink expansion at the clasp, just the 3 position adjustment for fine tuning the bracelet length.

You can't see the easylink with this picture. It's located inside the clasp. |

I know..... just wanted to show that the model of the bracelet is indeed 72200. Have seen multiple Rolex watches with this bracelet (specifically comes with the 116264 turnograph) and sellers never highlight the easy link. If the seller says it does not have an easylink extension then guess he does not know it is in the clasp? I will ask the seller for a picture of the other side to see the configuration.

As always Alpino, you were right! My 72200 bracelet does have the easylink expansion. Is the bracelet length from factory on this model 12 links just as the other Oyster bracelets? Here is the band length as it that came on my TOG:

As you see there's the exact same number of links. 13 links total, 12 + Easylink. . |

Other than observations, there's some rules at Rolex regarding Oyster bracelets family. All Oyster ref# starting with the same numbers have the same features (including Easylink feature) : 70xxx : oysterclasp , brossed ( for OP ) 71xxx : oysterclasp + easylink , brossed ( for AK 40mm ) 72xxx : oysterclasp + easylink , polished (for OP date / DJ / SkyDweller / MG) 73xxx : crownclasp , polished (For DD / DJ) 77xxx : oysterlock + easylink , brossed (for Explorer) 78xxx : oysterlock + easylink , polished (for Daytona / Gmt / Ym / Ym2) 97xxx : oysterlock + glidelock , brossed (for Sub / SD) 98xxx : oysterlock + glidelock , brossed (for SDDS) |
