Scratches on my seadweller

Hi everyone. As a newby to the forum I just wanted to ask a quick question.

Today i managed to knock my watch causing a small scratch on the side of the face near the gas escape valve. Is this something that can be removed. Also just for general info... are scatches on the bracelet something that can be removed?

Can my local AD do this for me as i don't want to be without my watch for long periods of time?

Welcome to TRF anty1985! Please post a photo of your watch, because I don't quite understand what you mean by "side of the face", do you mean side of the case?

As for scratches on the bracelet, they're easy to remove and your local AD can do it.

Afraid scratches will happen its a fact of life,but if scratch is not too deep easily rectified when is due for service.Just wait until your watch needs to be serviced it will come back as good as new.

Don't worry about schratches. You have a watch that is built to be used, especially the SD. Don't you think it is nice that it reflects a life full of experiences? For me a watch that looks brand new is a bit without life...

I never have my watches polished - but in all fairness, I have at least one I am a bit more careful with.

But, as others have said, there are ways to polish.

Sorry to hear about your scratch. I got one a few days after picking up my new Rolex so I know exactly how you feel. Padi56 is right though, you should wait to have it refinished when you send it in for service.

I knew a fellow that would have his watched refinished every 3 months or so (hated scratches) and in just a few years his watched looked like it was 20 years old.

I know what you guys mean. I just hate scatches and do like to keep my stuff in A1 condition. As regards the rolex service, don't you send it off and a couple of months later you get it back! worth it but not so sure about the 2 months wait? Also when it gets services do they remove all light scratches?

I got a couple of dents on the bezel and a scratch on the polish link of my Rolex in less than a week after I bumped against the toilet door ... not exactly a good memory for me though, and I was not happy for a week Then I collected more more scratches over the past 3 months now, and it's not so bad ... shows how lighting effects from certain angles can highlight or hide scratches
