Yeah I think I am. It's not the smartest decision but mint condition 116520s have gone up and are close to a DaytonaC's retail. It's not worth settling for last gen when the difference isn't that much. If I could find a sub $10,000 mint black dial 116520 then I would probably wait to get a 116500LN for retail. I should've acted after the announcement when a lot of people here offloaded lots of them.

DaytonaC assuming MRSP, no question. The SubC will always be available. I own both and love the Daytona more

If you're preparing for the zombie apocalypse, then Sub C no question. Otherwise, get the Daytona FIRST

The Sub is that deserted island watch for many. It really is the best choice if one can only have one watch. Or a GMT either black or BLNR.

I assumed that Sub C for this poll could be 114060, 116610LN, or 116610LV and the Daytona C to be the SS white or black dial. If we're talking 114060 only, then my vote definitely gets changed to a black dial 116500

I'm on a couple of lists for the white dial so I will eventually have one @ retail but who knows what that retail will be. It's probably going to be at least a 3 yr wait for me unless I happen to get lucky. I would still pick it up even if I decide to get one now.

Well, I traded in my Sub for a DaytonaC so I'm a bit biased. Haven't regretted it for an instant.

I got into Rolex and ended up getting the Sub by first wanting the Daytona. Lovely watch, but some of its details put me off, the biggest being the tachy bezel, don't see the need for it anymore.

116500 is fantastic imo, BUT
The base is always a Diver, my N1 is a SD (116660/16600/116600 )

Sub out of these two. I'm not really a chrono person, so easy choice for me.

Daytona. I'm wearing a sub c as we speak but not much compares to a white dial Daytona C in my opinion.
