Though undoubtedly an attractive watch, I can't help but think there is some self-justification to the "Some love for the SD4K" and "sexiest watch ever (SD4K)" threads that have been popping up like mushrooms on a rainy day here recently. And I get that. Was probably no different for any other popular model that got replaced. I for one remember some "I still prefer the black one" threads when the BLNR came out. Imagine the forum also saw its fair share of "the 5 digit Sub will never be outdone by the Sub C" threads when the latter was new. Just human nature, we don't like something newer and potentially more appealing to overshadow our prized valuables. No surprises there.

I love my sd4k
Bought it late last year
Loved it for its own merits at not because it was going to be discontinued
Its my favorite all round watch and its built like a tank. Totally understated but I know its a Rolex even if no one else knows which is fine by me
