Just heard back from our local APSC that a grey panda dial is available out of AP Switzerland for my 39mm rosegold ROC at a "reasonable" price. I absolutely love the grey panda dial, especially now that AP has introduced the panda dial on the 41mm stainless steel and rosegold 41mm ROCs.

Problem is my wife loves the white dial because it's a decent match to her rosegold Rolex.

What do you think? Should I pull the trigger on the grey dial?

I am not a white dial fan usually, but in this case I think I prefer the white dial to the grey, though both are nice...

In your post on Saturday you said you'd only just bought the watch. If you're already wanting to change the dial after just 4 days I think it won't be long before you look to flip the watch and if the original paperwork doesn't match the dial colour then it will be harder to sell.

I'm also not the white dial type but I like this one. That Sai Ken, I also like the grey dial. Me, I'd probably go grey. It would depend on how reasonable reasonable is lol

Thanks for your feedback Ash. All valid points. I got thinking of the grey panda dial, after a friend pointed out the fact that AP recently introduced the panda dial on the latest 41mm ROC references.

Don't get me wrong. I love this 39mm rosegold ROC. It will be a permanent piece in my collection. Just a matter of whether I should keep it in white or switch to the grey dial.

After the other parts prices I've been told. It's reasonable. Remember to check Clearwater. The difference might get you to fly there, pick it up stay a couple days and still be cheaper!

I would keep what you have. I think the white suits gold better and its good to have matching couple watches.

If you can keep the white, then def go for it, I prefer the grey as well, gives it a bit more depth and flavour.

I would make the switch. I like grey and black dials. I also prefer the baton indices

I would have guessed 2K. Anything that involves dismantling the watch seems to be that figure.

I like the white dial or a blue dial better against the rose gold than grey or black dials. Tried the white dial on at the Vegas GTG and it is just stunning.

I like the looks of the grey dial. Especially if you can keep the original white dial. I'd say go for it

I can't seem to convince my wife to let me swap to the grey panda dial so I will be keeping it in the white for the time being. Getting it ready to ship to the local APSC for a service overhaul and a polish! Hope to get it back within 2 weeks.

I much prefer the gray dial. I find the Sub duals to be more legible and I also prefer the batons.

Gotta go with what the wife wants though ... Don't you?
