Advice trade Rolex v Tudor v omega

Hi all just need some concensus before I pull the trigger...
I own a.. I thought mint 2006 45.5 mm omega planet ocean and quite like the watch... I'm looking at getting into Rolex or Tudor and looking at a vintage Tudor Big block.... probably the wrong place for impartial advice but would you guys trade a mint planet ocean against the big block
Or keep it and buy no part exchange trade. Also looked at a link where someone on here considered trading a sub against a big block and the general feeling was don't do it. Not saying my Po is a sub but would trading it be a mistake??? I could buy some nice leather and rubber straps and use my Omega Po as a daily wear... or get a big block cheaper and get out the brand completely

Not me. If it is the 2500 model Omega, no. I regret selling mine but it was too big and it helped fund my SD4K. If it suits you, keep it. The new Planet Oceans suck. I sold mine for me than what I paid for it new. For Tudor look at the Pelagos or Black Bay for a diver. The new BB chrono is ok but has a mixed dial of racing and diving?? The BB two tone is singing to me. Looks cool but on leather only but then may as well get the normal BB on leather as that has gold accents too....

I had a 2500D planet Ocean 45mm. I liked it but found it just too big. I had sold a Rolex to buy it and regretted it. I sold it and bought a Rolex so that's what I'd recommend IMO.

I'm wearing my PO today (2500 42mm with orange bezel insert) and have to say I'd be hard pressed to sell it. I love its looks. So I'd say keep yours if you like it and by the Rolex or Tudor outright. Personally I can't tell you if the trade would be a mistake. For me when I've traded in the past I regretted it however.

I'm s big guy suits me paid £1875 new 11years ago it's mint boxed papers original recipt. I'm being offered almost money back around £1700... A bit confused what to do I fancy it in a nice high quality leather strap. Not sure of the model number solid back think first year out grey bezel 45.5mm which suits ne size wise

I'm a fan of the PO keep it because the cost to get into a Tudor is quite modest in watch world dollars so I would get a new BB in whatever flavor you like.

You will regret it, keep the Omega, they are equally as good as Rolex in my opinion, the PO is a super watch

Why ?
● Black Liquid Metal Bezel not Blue
● Red Seamaster colour font not Orange
● It has the perfect slim casing & function , substance & style 42mm
● Applied Hour markers
● Casual , Sporty
● Limited Edition to 1947 timepieces if I'm not mistaken but definately <2000 units
● Fitted with the Calibre 2500 D
An almost faultless movement , I've actually never heard of any complaints from owners

Arguably the most collectible PO 600 non LE version is the famous Ref 2201.50. 00. This is the 1st of the many Great PO models and a Keeper !

Apart from that , IMHO, any of the PO models worn by Secret Agent 007 Daniel Craig in Casino Royale , Skyfall , Quantum of Solace and Spectre are secretly very desirable ( You need to be a Bond fan for this 0ne )

The 2500 series rather than the 8500 are generally accepted as the more classic Omega PO. Many friends I know on the forum who had flipped their PO 2500 told me later it was one of their biggest blunders they have ever made !

Can you confirm the reference number of your 2006 PO watch ? If your watch belongs to any 0ne of the references above , perhaps you should reconsider your decision to sell or trade the PO

I think you have answered in both your responses above. In my opinion if you can afford it without a trade-in I would keep the Omega. If you get the Big Block it would be great to see pictures

Everything correct except the LM limited edition comes with 2500c revision.

OP if you love PO, keep it and wear in good health...but if it takes second seat after the new piece and no wrist timer...time to move on.

It's a 2200055000 ref 2500 calibre 45.5 mm but I think I'll keep after the thread and buy something stand alone

Keep it and avoid Sellers Remorse.
Look at an Explorer II 42 mm if you want a bigger than average Rolex dial.

I'd get a Subc if you don't have one. I was looking at a PO but the Subc won that battle pretty easily.

I would keep the omega then sell it when it needs a service, and add a 16710

I'm glad you're going to keep it, my PO 2500 42mm is a great watch, aesthetically as nice as any dive watch out there and it runs great, is durable.
No Tudor can hold a candle to most Omegas, especially a Planet Ocean, in my opinion.
