Doing a transaction without "buying the seller"...
I heard 100+ times here that I must buy the seller before anything.
Well, I am trying to risk it this time, and was wondering what your thoughts are. The seller simply does not have enough reputation, (http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/wts...2-4286922.html) and so I am getting worried a little bit. Do you think I should go for the Paypal buyer protection thing and should be good even if something happens? To make sure the watch is not fake, should I bring it into an AD to confirm after purchase..? Thanks. |

It's your money. If you can potentially lose $1800 and be okay, then go for it. Call the seller if you can and have a conversation with him. Ask for any potential references he may have elsewhere.

I would definitely ask for a photo texted with ur name handwritten on the watch. And.... Say u would be willing to pick up local see if he gets nervous.

Thanks for all the answers. I thought as long as I get Paypal protection, I should be good. Or am I wrong?

The seller has more feedback than you. If I were him, you would concern me more....

I wouldn't, there's no way to confirm the watch (even ADs aren't trained to spot good fakes). GL, but I'd pass. The fact you even need to ask the question is your answer.

I wouldn't risk it, buy from trusted sellers on this site.

Here is a watch buying tip: "When in doubt, do not do it." Live buy this and save yourself heartache and money.

I'd do it -- but I also enjoy Russian roulette.

I cannot imagine being desperate enough to want something where common sense is lost.

Buy the watch, not the seller. People don't ask me, "isn't that a watch you bought from Joe Shmo?"
