Damn. Seeing massive high resolution photos of member's arm hair follicles and then spending the next 10 minutes hunting for the watch was how I got my kicks.

They're like massive where's Wally pictures, but you can never see the whole thing at once.

Plus getting access to the moderation boxes which unless a mod you guys cannot see, was getting to be a real pain even on my 21 inch monitor.
Head over to the WRUW threads.

Those who post through Tapatalk, or any hosting site, I presume, can just ignore the posting size limitation and you can play "Find the Watch" game to your heart's content.

It's sad we have so many members who don't give a hoot about the rules or the convenience of other members who try to enjoy the board.

I just scroll through those images that are oversized, but it becomes burdensome when those images are quoted a dozen times.

If you are interested in viewing the whole picture on your screen, you can right-click on "View Image" in Windows, but when you go back to full screen, you'll lose your place in the thread, so it's not really worth it.

Maybe a dumb question, but can I wirelessly connect an external monitor to my Macbook? I don't want the external monitor to mirror what's on my screen, but rather use it as a second monitor.

Well, I just did a quick google search and it seems like it is possible with an Apple TV. My only concern is if there will be any sort of latency issues. If I can connect a monitor wirelessly, but it lags, it would be useless.

I have a 27" iMac (mid 2012) that I use at home and the size is great. At work I have Dual 24" monitors and my laptop (15") across three screens also a great setup.

If you're getting an iMac, suck it up and pop for the 27". I have a 27 at work and it makes my 24 at home feel like a postage stamp. Just note, if you go for anything besides the iMac, a 27"+ is going to require a better graphics card to run it at the best resolution, otherwise you'll end up with a tiny square in the center of your new monitor. A normal pc/mac mini/etc typically maxes out at 24" with many intel integrated graphics.

I also have a 5k 27" iMac. Great piece of gear for the price.. just make sure you spec it right for future proofing since they can't be upgraded, except maybe memory.

I wouldn't go above 28" for a primary. I use triple 26" on one a 28" on another both connect to a 50" via denon which overlooks a marble table and has video conferencing 1080p webcam.

Single monitor, go ultra wide. I have a 34 inch ultra wide and I can't go back.

It's amazing for productivity.

I think your usage for the monitors will ultimately help you decide. At work, I hover between my 13" laptop and two 24" monitors- they're used for lots of emails, excel sheets, powerpoint presentations (and surfing TRF, naturally!). At home, due to space, I have a single, old 19" which does the job for casual browsing, etc.

More important than size, what is your intended use? I do photography for work and hobby, and there are certainly things you'd want besides size for that!
