History of a developing addiction...

Ladies and Gents,

I've noticed how much we all seem to enjoy seeing pics of our watches, so in an effort to add to the spirit of this site, here you go....

First the D Series 16710, that came after a lunchtime drinking chinese rice wine in Brisbane a couple of years ago....

Then after finding this site and the others I'm sure we all visit, I had the bright idea to get a '71 1675. One that was the same age as myself. So guess what came next?

And now we come to the latest stage of what my girlfriend is convinced is an addiction. One that she's sure will decrease her chances of getting a sparkly ring for her left hand.... A 7.3 mil 5513.

My very modest trio........

The funny thing though, was that when I got the 5513 it came on a 93150 Oyster and I wasn't that overwhelmed by the look and presence of the watch. I got the Maratac NATO in grey and I have to say it completely changes the look and feel of the watch in a major way; I can't take it off now.

If any one is on the fence about putting their Sub on a NATO, go for it! The Maratac is an out standing strap.

WOW! What a stunning trio!! The 1675 is beautiful and while I can't tell for sure from the pic., the 5513 looks like a type III maxi.

Wonderful!!

Mike,

Coming from you, I'll take that as a huge compliment. As far as the 5513 is concerned, it's a Type IV albeit in stunning condition. The ft and m have less serif than the Type III.
