IE a new dial RG44 with the old movement, there couldn't be any more than several hundred of them in existence if they were only made in 2017. As they are most likely not making them in much larger numbers than that given what we know of their overall production numbers. So in a way, that could almost be a positive. The other downside of a new movement is the reliability issues and other issues that need to be refined over time that tend to come up after real world use. I would be a lot more hesitant to get a new movement for at least a few years after introduction. That said i want an in house too... eventually |
