Growing up!
Joined TRF recently and really appreciate all the great research and information all in one place. Had my Dads Rolex after he passed and it meant a lot to me. Life happened and got divorced and she got everything, but I got the most important and most valuable item, my son. She got everything, guns to sound system to the Rolex. I got a handful of clothes, my car, and within 6 months full custody of my 12 year old son. He just turned 26 and has graduated college. Just bought him a Tissot chrono for his birthday. His first nice watch. I'd been wearing a Tag for years but have always secretly desired another Rolex. Just put a deposit down on the Oysteflex WG Daytona. My wife helped me pick it out as I was leaning to the GMT II BLNR. She didn't like the look. She liked the Daytona. Well it grew on me and I'll have to say I'm excited and can't wait till it shows up, several weeks, few months??? Time to save some more change to finish off the final payment. It seems sporty, yet classy and timeless. Simple elegance. Not like every other Rolex I see. Haven't seen one in person yet. But I know once I put it on it's too, late. Kinda like going to test drive a new Harley, don't do it. Once you drive the one that talks to you it's yours. I'm thinking that Rolexes are like Harleys, mo matter which model you get all you're getting is a starter kit.
Sorry to ramble but better than just sayin Howdy I'm a newb from Texas! |
