One last set of cars Jaguars in British museum
I dropped into the British car museum which also houses among other things the Jaguar Heritage trust. While the museum had a lot of cars I loved including the mighty Group B Austin Metro and Triumph TR8 rally car, it is its collection of Jaguar's that stands out most.
The British Car Museum in Gaydon is cool in that it is on the grounds of Jaguar land Rover (Aston is just over the hill), at one point they were all under the Ford banner. The Museum also houses meeting rooms, canteen etc that is actively used by JLR and car associations. So very functional. Some of the highlights for the Jag enthusiasts Yes that is a guy doing some gentle panel beating tapping on a near to priceless never raced one of a kind Jaguar XJ13 originally planned for Le Mans (estimates value it $15-25M), The awesome Broadspeed XJC jaguars that raced in production racing as well as the XJS that dominated Group A (rest in Peace the great Scot Tom W). Add to that the prototypes of the aborted original F Type (180KK I think it was) and the prototype and first XJ220. And a D Type and you can see in the background the E type that raced a lot in the USA.
