CAUTION FOOD PICS--2am SHRIMP BOIL

Went to store bought 3lbs ( 1 1/2 kilo) shrimp, peel shrimp, fire up the burner, add one 40 oz beer and cup of vinegar, Old Bay and bring to a boil for 3-4 minutes.

My favorite seasoning

Sprinkle more old bay on it when it cools

I am guessing you are on the east coast of the USA? Most people out west have never heard of Old Bay.

Were you using the bezel to time the cooking?

I had a stay in D.C. for a while and the Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs were cooked on the side of the road and steamed with old bay seasoning, I think it was July and August when they were caught and sold by the trappers. They were sooo good. I'd suck the grey matter, stomach right out of the crab, a little work but but nothing a wooden hammer and a few cold beers wouldn't take care of. Claws and legs so good !

No crabs here in the desert but Old Bay is in every store and lots of shrimp too Anyone that's had these knows how good the inside of a 🦀 Crab is. Thats the best part bezel on GMT is the best invention in the world for cooking, travel and massages

Oh, and speaking of crabs, 3 weeks ago I had Florida Stone Crab for the first time at a very nice restaurant and thought they were disgusting. Sorry Florida, nothing beats Alaskan Jumbo King Crab. The cold water makes a huge difference. Each leg weighed 3/4 of a pound and so sweet tasting. Butter, lemon and red pepper flakes. I was in heaven in my own kitchen loving every minute of it. Worth every bit of the mess I made. Kitchen shears sliced them right down the leg so no work as your eating them.

Hi Phil !
My mom was a chef in her own right, I was the only boy who really jumped in. I cook all the time, wife's not aloud in the kitchen. I'd put up more pictures of all my cooking but I always forget to take the pictures.

It's truly a passion for me, as it's not uncommon to do all holiday dinners and summer grill outside every weekend by the pool. I do it much less now as daughter is moved and I travel so much. I do more cooing when it's not 125 degrees outside, so winter is when I get down to work. I love to pair wine with my meals. Cabernet goes with anything

Hope all is well and there's only room for 1 chef in the kitchen and Gerardo was first

Thanks everyone.

It's all about prep and being organized.. and passion. It would be fun for Gerardo and I to do a demonstration meal in a real demonstration kitchen at a GTG

Mark

Excellent idea. They are so good I could get the jumbo 10-15 a pound size and
They have that spicy taste and would go so great with some beer and wine ..

drink the same beer as I cook them in. I use nice cab in my onion soup and serve the same wine for dinner. It's amazing !

Nice pick up by the way and welcome to the elite club !
