Ap diver fell of the bicyle
As the title suggests, i was riding a bike and suddenly the watch just fell.
Here is the result, what are your thougts for the repair ? Can anyone source me the replacement parts, especially the bezel. The watch works properly i guess since it can keep up with the real time ? |

Sorry to hear but as long as you are okay. I'd suggest taking it to the boutique in NY and have them send it in for repair. My guess is about 1K. AP spare parts are very hard to source and repair them via an independent even harder. I suggest you bite the bullet and have AP do the repair. In the long run you will be happier.

That sucks. You probably have to replace all those parts. Very expensive.

Three options that I see.
1) wear it and enjoy it. Doesn't look as bad as I had expected given the title. 2) send it to your nearest AP service center for a quote and let them repair it 3) sell it as is and buy another

Ouch, that sucks. That is one occasion when i would just send it to APSC and let them fix it as i probably would not want to see those scratches every day. Not the same thing to me as those hairline scratches everyone always talks about getting fixed.
Just be happy you were not wearing your RM, that would be a tragedy. |

Just curious, the watch just fell while you were riding? What gave way, the clasp or the connections at the lugs?

Sad to hear. As someone also pointed out it doesn't look as bad as I was expecting from the title. You don't have a home insurance that covers it? For the future maybe invest in some loctite? Especially if you like changing strap frequently. Hope it work out well
You can tell that from the pictures.

Still, its very unfortunate that this happened and thankfully it does seem to be a fairy rare occurrence. |

Ouch, very sorry to hear. I'd also bite the bullet and send it to AP.

Who did the strap swap? If AP, maybe you can blame it on them and ask them to fix.
I'd replace the bezel (shouldn't be too much for a SS bezel) and polish the case and plot the best they can. Only issue is, AP is gonna want to service it I'm sure. At least you'll have a 2 yr warranty though.

The yellow strap was changed by ap nyc. I took it there this morning and they changed it to the black strap that the watch came with, so far no issues. They told me that the ap service can polish the bezel and it would be %90 the same as before

If only AP had laid hands on it for strap change, definitely raise it up. How do you prove that it was so, and that it simply fell off your wrist is the tough part...
This worries me a little to be honest. |
