Basil 2037

after all this talk about watches to come, lets take a moment to speculate what the far future will hold for wristwatches and rolex.
I think in 2037 rolex will have developed an automatic movement that is so advanced that it also can generate enough perpetual power to energize our active heads up computers built into the lining of our ocular nerve, and maybe even enough power to charge our hover shoes.
what else?....
and by them they have renamed the city basil instead of basel as a celebration of spice!!

All bracelets will be high polished. No satin, No exceptions.

Rolex will name a watch after JJ, "Daytona II-JJ SheepTosser Edition"

The Sea-Dweller will be re-released...the new hottest watch of 2037!

Cellini's are all the rage in Urban cities throughout the world.

My thoughts...

Ditigal will be gone. Everything back to analog. Technology will come fuil circle due to tehcnology threats like virsus on atomic watches transmitted via satillte.

As a result, we will see Rolex movement being placed in the new Analog rotary dial cell phones that have plug stations along on the highways or in your car.

My connection, who knows someone that is related to a cleaner in the Rolex building in Geneva said that there developing a nuclear reactor that uses Uranium to power the watch, just like what is used in a CANDU reactor.

The only requirement is a small strip on Uranium that will power the watch for 50 years, then the used spent rod gets used as Lume for next generation watches. The glow is amazing!

Actually, i know the guy in charge of refilling the coffe machine at Charles de Guaulle Airport. He told me he heard that the CERN's Large Hardron Collider is the first prototype of Rolex's next automatic mouvement for large scale 42 meters case. That's why its in Switzerland. The LHC mouvement aka 3186² for is the next gen GMT MASTER² with a 5th hand giving time in a parallel quantum dimension. Called Quantum Dosimetry...

Quantum Dosimetry is a novel invention comprising a method, software and apparatus to determine dose, dose rate and composition of radiation. The Quantum Dosimeter can identify and categorize the individual radiation quanta by recognizing the patterns of the particles detected using a silicon pixel detector such as Medipix or Timepix (aka Daytona Date). The method allows separation of different constituents of radiation, such as electrons, photons, alpha particles, neutrons, ions, muons, and others. It can also determine an energy estimate of the total deposited energy for each of the detected radiation quanta and then compute the contribution of each radiation category to the total effective radiation dose. IMHO

Look at the positive side here, with the new power source, our descendants will have not 2, but 3 or 4 arms so Rolex can sell more watches.

More Arms = more wrists = more watches to hold them.

Nice way to increase the Market.

Better yet on the Nukemariner...

it will have a depth rating (along with a heat rating) to the Center of the Earth, 3963 Miles / 6378 km.

Quote:

How many miles is it to the center of the Earth?

The Earth is not a perfect sphere, so the distance to the center of the Earth varies from 6378 km (3963 miles) at the equator to 6357 km (3950 miles) at the poles.
