RSC: How long before they contact with a quote?

I have been looking at various watch sites, and decided on this one, as it seemed the friendliest.

I sent my watch to the Dallas RSC some time ago for service, and was wondering how long it takes for them to provide a quote, or ask for payment information. I checked the tracking of the shipping carrier, and confirmed it did arrive, and the RSC has had it for quite some time. I assumed they called or emailed for permission to work on the watch, and request payment information prior to servicing, or is that an incorrect assumption?

I was going to call them soon, but, I wanted to ask the average turnaround time before bothering them. Given it is the summer, I assumed they are short handed too with everyone on vacation.

Here in Hong Kong, if you take it in yourself, it takes from about 15 to 45 minutes to get a quote, depending how crowded the place is (usually pretty crowded). The actual work usually takes two to three weeks.

I have had about a dozen watches worked on, and the quote has always been the same as the final price.

I sent my Yachtmaster in on June 15. Just got an email from them today saying they're ready to start on it and it will be ready in 3 to 4 weeks. It takes time.

It seems arriving in person is the better option.

@ saskmh: WOW. Nearly 3 1/2 weeks from shipment to quote? I guess I should wait a bit longer.

Less than a week for my quote. They called for my email, then sent a PDF. Maybe they're a bit busy.

I recently sent a watch in to the NY RSC. From the initial email, stating they received the watch, it took exactly 7 calendar days to receive a phone call with the quote.
