Does anyone else *listen* to their watches?
I love the rapid ticking of my watches. It's soothing. I've noticed my Sub has a slight pinging sound too. It's interesting - the ticking my Sub and my Speedy make is much more smooth than the ticking sounds my Halios (Miyota movement) or the Damasko (ETA) made. Those two were a little "grindy" sounding.
My Sub almost sounds electronic with the ticking and pinging. It's so cool. |

The way my ears ring, no way.
I've even tried listening to it with a stethoscope, sans success. |

I have tinnitus as well and I can still hear my watch from a couple feet away. My Speedy more than my SubC for some reason. It's one reason I couldn't bond with my Apple Watch - it was silent.

They are amplified under my pillow it seems. My manual winder Panerais were always the loudest.

I listened to mine backwards and it was "Stairway to Heaven."

I listen to mine and all I hear is a voice saying 'buy another', is that normal or does it need a service? :)

Talking to my non-WIS brother-in-law about watches, I got him to listen and feel the movement in my Big-Block to try and convince him that it was 'alive' compared to his quartz Armani watch. It didn't work!!!

Yup, have listened to it and I like it. Have compared it to a number of other watch brands I own and find that only Rolex movements (3135 and 3186) produce a 'melodic' ticking sound.
Now, I do seriously wonder if this is me, haha . . . |

I just listened to mine yesterday on a whim. I had to put it right next to my ear to heat it and it was faint. It's the 3235 movement (DJ41) I wonder if it's quieter than others? Anyway I've not tried to hear it from more than a couple millimeters away. I run a fan for the noise at night so that's definitely out!
