Even better that your daughter knows so much about wine.

When I was barely drinking age, I was at a business dinner at a Morton's and we had a Magnum of something, it was probably about $300. My boss ordered a second bottle and made me do the tasting. I felt something wasn't right, so they called the manager over and he tasted and agreed. I was pretty impressed with myself over that one.

We have Mortons, Mastro, Capital Grill and very nice Steak houses in the hotels and I've only been to Capitol Grill but never had steak. I just can't do it, spending 50-70 on steak that I can cook for 2/3 cheaper in the back yard and just as good ( thanks Costco) Its very good service but I can't do it, I'll order fish or maybe lamb chops or a special soup and salad with appetizer.

I really struggle with wine too. I plan my dinners around if they do corkage. A lot on here know I love a bottle or 3 but marking up a 250.00 cost of wine 3 times really gets under my skin. I think 30-40 corkage is fair. They get you in food part and that's ok cause it envolves chefs, servers, kitchen help etc..

but not wine.

It's was some strange stuff going to Texas and being denied bringing some wine but there always a way to get around it.

Had a special guest and we opened this with pleasure

After 23 years in a bottle very special still and a real treat.
