Can you order super jubilee thru AD?
Bought my dj36 with oyster band thru an AD last year and thinking of getting the jubilee for it. I've read you can't just buy the jubilee from Rolex you have to have the watch it came on which I do. So my question is can the AD order you one or do I have to go thru RSC?
Also anyone know the current msrp of the super jubilee? Thanks.

Generally speaking any AD can order most any bracelet very easily. Oddly enough if you were to try and just order a clasp Rolex usually requires you to send the old clasp in for an exchange.

Would the price for the Super Jubilee ordered directly through an AD be cheaper than sourcing it from a trusted seller? (I saw that it usually goes for ~$2k)

Can you exchange your oyster bracelet for the jubilee and lower the price?

I'm going to ask my AD next time I visit but I thought the price was more like $15-1600. Thanks everyone.

Wanted to give you guys an update on this. Ordered through my AD exactly a month ago. Price was $1550 + tax and they assured me about 7-10 business days. As the days went by they kept pushing the date back and I finally had them actually investigate where the damn bracelet is. They just called me today saying that they called Rolex directly and they're telling them the trade-in of the oyster bracelet is now a requirement. They will only offer you $120 trade in (I could've heard this wrong though). I told them I will just come in for a full refund.
Later, I called RSC NY myself and was just told the same thing. I'm going to go in directly next week and see how I can go about keeping my oyster. I know I've read on here members were given an option to keep the original bracelet. If anyone has experience with this, please share with me.

Maybe you could show up at RSC with the watch on a Nato or leather strap?
You could tell them you purchased it that way. |

Just wanted to share with the forum that this is true.
I tried ordering a super jubilee bracelet for my Daytona and although the AD was able to place an order with RSC, the AD was later informed that you now need to return your original bracelet or to send over the watch head to RSC just to check eligibility for the purchase. |

That's nuts. If you want a bracelet or a clasp, why wouldn't Rolex simply sell them to you? I'm sure they have reasons, but I think it's unfair.

if you're in the city, I'd just stop in RSC and buy it. Make sure to bring your DJ with you. They won't sell it to you without it.

I was infuriated when they wouldn't sell me a grand link for my DD40. I had to spend an entire day traveling into the city (don't live in the city anymore) to hand them $700 and walk out with a tiny link. I told them I would make a copy of my warranty card, take photos of the watch, do whatever they wanted, and they refused to mail me the link or even send it to a local AD. I had to bring the watch in person to check the eligibility. So i get it, it is kind of nuts. |

The last time I spoke with RSC about this, regarding this specific bracelet (63600) was Nov 2016. They said they'd sell me the bracelet, with no "exchange" if I brought the watch head (DJ 116234) in. I don't know (and hope they didn't) change their policy about it.

Just to confirm, AD and RSC will tell you they will not sell you a bracelet without returning the original first. I did not actually stop by RSC NY to see if they would sell me one without trading in my oyster but I did call them and they told me a trade in is required.
I believe Rolex changed their policy fairly recently because I did read of forum members buying bracelets without a trade in. Maybe it's still possible if you bring your dj to RSC and argue with them but it's definitely gotten a lot harder to get a new jubilee now.

But my AD did also mention that it would be possible to send/take the watch head to RSC to have them check eligibility (although I have no idea how RSC makes the decisions). |

Sounds like you can still take the head into RSC and buy the jubilee. It's inconvenient but you show location as NYC so you are better off then the rest of us that don't live anywhere near an RSC.
