I've not worn the DSSD (222 grams of 904L) through airport security, although I have worn a Sub, my Sub and Daytona have never set off the detectors...

I voted for Daytona but I would get both or get the other in the future as well since GV is really special

I recently purchased the GV and have seen the Daytona in person. I have to say that the GV is a really cool looking watch but in no way is it as beautiful as the Daytona. I think the GV compares to the Daytona in prestige at the moment since it is so hard to find.
As far as the GV being a collectible, I think it may unfortunately have a similar fate as the LV. Where everyone wanted one because they were so rare but years later Rolex is still producing them and they are now sitting in every other AD. Either way I plan on keeping my GV and I'll purchase the Daytona in a heartbeat if I ever get the call. BTW, I voted Daytona |

I have a Black Milgauss and I would love to have a White Daytona as my next watch.

As someone who took a bath on a Milgauss I bought at MSRP, let me just say that I wouldn't buy the GV on the premise of it gaining value. They're barely getting a premium anymore and it seems production will be up in the future. Get the one you really want to wear.

NO BRANIER... DAYTONA!!!!!
More functionality, useful functionality (unless you happen to be a scientist), will always be rare and in demand. And the Daytona is a chronograph --- more than "just a watch" Put it another way, I'm sure you could find plenty of folks to trade a migauss for a daytona, the reverse would be a hard sell. |

This one is very easy. You get a chronograph that actually does something, or a cute second hand.

Assuming both are the same price, I think the Daytona is a better buy - it's an iconic watch with a more complicated movement.
