Bracelet info and ?

Called the local AD this morning to get a price on a 78790A clasp.The person told me they thought it would be around $300 if memory served them correctly..I said "I didn't mean to step on their toes but I'm sure you are low on that number ". The person asked my name and # and that they would check for sure and get right back to me. The call back was quick and they did say they where surprised and the price would be $530 exchange.I told the person I really wanted a 78790 clasp but I had tried about 6 years ago to purchase one and that clasp was only sold with a complete bracelet/exchanged which I didn't do because it was original to the watch but a 78790A could be purchased out right which I did. Then the AD employee told me that Rolex no longer sells just bracelets period! Does that sound true or is it BS ? Remember the AD employee did mention they had been there MANY years.....Sorry for the repetitive use of the word "person"...they where not a sales person....higher on the food chain.
