a group of ladies in So Cal got together and form a club to share jewelry. But they are from the same neighborhood and have been friends for a long time.

If the watch was considered as part of the "program" and not a personal watch... Maybe the scratch issue etc... goes away? Fully insured and of course RSC fees could be part of the monthly or whatever.... It's kind of interesting to me...

That makes more sense to me than letting someone else wear your watch. I doubt that I would be interested, but that's just my preference.

In an airplane, everyone's b$^# fits in a seat. But a watch, what happens to the extra links that come in and out? I pitty the guy that has the large wrist since he won't get or be able to find the extra links.

Well everything would have to be owned by the club for it to work (legally) And either the clubhouse would know the sizes and everything would go back to them and be handled (sizing and shipping to the next customer and thats how most of the executive car clubs do it) or you could stipulate that the watch had to be sized by a AD but that just starts to get complicated....
