Emplorer Question

I'm new to the forum, and I plan to buy my first Rolex shortly --- very possibly an Explorer. The only problem is I'm not certain I really like the black face. Is there any chance the watch is or will soon be offered in other face color options ?

Thanks very much.

Agreed, if you are indeed talking about the exp I, I do not think they will be introducing a new dial color in the near (or distant) future.

Any reason why you do not like the black? I own one and think the black is great. Goes with everything and a little more dressy then a lighter color.

Hi Langley,

Welcome to TRF. The Explorer 1 is only 36 mm in diameter, so if you have a big wrist and prefer a different coloured dial and a larger diameter, then the Exp-II white dial is a beauty!!

Furthermore, while the Explorer 1 is a "sporty" looking watch, functionally it only tells time - nothing else. The Exp-II, on the other hand, has a date as well as dual time zone facility.
