Two vintage Rolexes
Here I have two vintage Rolexes: Rolex Oyster Royalite Observatory (Serial no. indicates: year 1943) and Rolex Oyster Royal (ser. no indicates 1926)
See pictures. Are these watches something to own or sell?

No the second one is not 1926. What is the serial number?
It is an earlier movement 1940 or before but certainly there were no super balances in 1926 and the early super balances were solid arm indicating that this one has likely been replaced. You are missing SS pinion and SS indirect drive wheel and also seconds hand as I'm sure you realize. Insides of the case backs and the case backs would be most helpful. That style of case did not exist in 1926. |
