Just wanted to clear a point. I don't see any under-occupation. We all must make a living somehow. Work is work. Wether you're a trash collector or the CEO of an insurance company. That's just my opinion on this. Some people work really hard just to hardly get by and provide enough food and a roof for their family. Even, if it is a job like washing toilets at a night club as for example. I respect that. But that's not the subject here ;-) Ok. I have my mind made up. Thank you all for your opinions. As mentioned, they were extremely helpful. Didn't expect anything at all but this forum seems to be great for this topic. I'll upload a picture once I've acquired the watch...Au revoir gentlemen.

In Switzerland gold jewelry is very common. People are used to it here. I'm not uncomfortable wearing gold anywhere at any time in Switzerland since it's my homeland.

For precaution, I don't wear any precious jewelry, on any trip, to any other country.

As for example, I just came home from vacation on the Mauritius Island, beautiful Island, very lovely people. The medium income there is around 300 USD a month...didn't wear any precious jewelry.

I also went back and forth initially on which Sub I wanted to save up for. That is, until I saw both watches in the flesh. The moment I picked up the LB, my heart skipped a beat and I all but forgot about the LN. I knew I had to have one from that moment. However, once I was ready to purchase a Rolex, I decided that I wasn't comfortable with the LB as a daily wear and bought a GMT instead. I wanted a watch I could wear with almost anything and the GMT fit the bill.

However, as much as I had admired and loved my GMT over the past two and a half years, the LB was still on my mind. IMHO, the LB is the most beautiful watch that Rolex produces, largely due to the blue sunburst dial. Recently, I decided that I finally had to have one and brought one home from my local AD. I still can't get over with how gorgeous it is! I wear it mainly on the weekends and the GMT gets the rest of my wrist time during the week.

As far as which watch to go for, it depends on your personality and comfort level with an eye-catching timepiece. It sounds like you might like the blue Sub for its beauty but aren't quite convinced it would be a good daily wear timepiece. I would have to agree there and the black dial might be a better option for you. A friend of mine has the 16613LN, which is very classy yet flies under the radar a bit more. You really can't go wrong either way - the Sub is a fantastic watch. Good luck with your decision!

I like black. I wore a TT black sub for 10 years and traded for a TT GMTc. I love my GMT and still miss my TT sub even though the two are very similar.

+1 for Black. I have owned a TT black sub for many years. This was my first watch purchase and I still love it. Of course, this is a personal choice, but I find the black dial is timeless and elegant.

They're both amazing and if I could have both the blue one would be the first purchase.
