Thanks to everyone who made it to the GTG. "Time well wasted" indeed; Thanks to Gerardo for starting the ball rolling and making the dinner arrangements (to include snagging the killer appetizer platters and champagne for our welcoming toast, the Rolex and Chopard gift bags, etc.

I was especially pleased with the private, afternoon/after-hours visit to Dromgoole's. Getting to talk about another of my favorite things, pens, with David Oscarson and Greg Frary, with Montblanc, the gift bags courtesy of Larry Dromgoole (they included a leather-bound Montblanc note pad and a very nice, handwritten welcome letter), an open bar with snacks, all in the company of a dozen-plus like-minded individuals - it doesn't get any better than that!

PS...If you're in the Houston area and have never visited Dromgoole's in Rice Village, you owe it to yourself to stop in. If the old saying, "The only difference between men and little boys is the price of their toys" is true, Dromgoole's is definitely one of my go-to toy stores. Fine writing instruments, inks, paper and stationery, hand-made knives, and customer service second to none. I've been a customer for well over 20 years and wouldn't think of shopping for a pen anyplace else.

Best,
