We have a 2010 Highlander that we bought new. We don't drive often or far, so it only has 31k miles on it. It's great, especially with little kids. Two rows and a lot of space in the back (for strollers or luggage), or three rows when needed (but there is not much room in the back when the third row is used). We've had no issues with it and have been very happy.

Sometimes I think my wife is just trying to mess with me, she has a 2007 Seinna with over 250,000 miles on it. We have driven it to Florida numerous times without any problems. Being a car guy, I keep begging her to buy a new one; she just laughs and says, "if it's not broken... ?"

I love my Sienna as it holds 8 comfortably, but prefer the Odyssey for its slightly better interior and that the engine is able to accept modifications and a chip update if you need more power to the wheels (since Honda is from a country where taxes can increase based on engine displacement, being simple and modification friendly is something they excel in).

Oh, I'll have to take a look into that. Doesn't the 3.5 V6 in the Odyessy = the 3.5 VG in the Pilot?

I have a Subaru Outback as my daily child transporter. It's not fancy but it's highly rated in terms of safety. Decent storage space and rides comfortably.

Albeit not as good as they once were, Toyota is still the most dependable car out there. We have both, Toyota Rav4 and an Acura (Honda) MDX. We would've bought a Lexus (Toyota) RX350 instead of the MDX, but wanted the third row of seats. The Pilot and Highlander are both excellent choices for families.

Lol, have you ever tried sitting in the back of your 911? My uncle had a 911 Carrera S a few years ago and I had to go in the back once, still hurts my knees if I think about it.

But you won't have to sit in the back as long.

Longer if the driver enjoys the scenic route.

When I suggest we go out (in my Turbo S) everyone heads for my wife's old Toyota Seinna! It must be the TV's or the many plug-ins for the phones...

We're a Honda/Toyota family and have had good success with all. We just bought a new Highlander and felt it was a good compromise between size and space with 1 kid and a dog. I know several people with both Odyssey and Sienna vans and they've all had good experiences. Some tend to favor the Sienna because it comes in AWD but you can't go wrong with either.

(The 911 Turbo comment made me think of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWnAdB-vkXo)
