Costa Rica Suggestions

Anyone have any suggestions?

We are looking for a week vacation. We have not been away for a week since our honeymoon. We typically do 3 or 4 days. But I need to unplug for a little bit.

Looking for the option to be active in terms of viewing sea life and checking out local culture.

Also looking for a boutique style place. Not all inclusive.

All ideas are welcome. Thanks,

We have been twice. Both all inclusive but spent a lot of time off the resort. Great country with a lot to see!

Costa Rica Suggestions

I stayed at the Four Seasons in Papagao Peninsula and it was the best vacation I've ever had. The service and property was amazing. Our room was like a Tommy Bahama magazine ad. It wasn't all inclusive and was very private. Great place to unplug and unwind. Google it and check out the pics.

A nice boutique hotel is the El Mangroove. Very cool place.

Plus Four Seasons Costa Rica is currently closed until the beginning of December for a $35m renovation. Its going to be even better when it reopens (check out the pics - http://press.fourseasons.com/costari...or-renovation/). They also have some great offers... $1,000 resort credit with a 5 night stay, and you can combine that with even more value (free daily breakfast, $100 F&B Credit, Room upgrade, etc.) if you book through a FS Preferred Partner travel agent.
