ROO Chrono Summer Edition 2017 26408OR.OO.A010CA.01
Hi guys! Although I've been reading this awesome forum for 2 months, I've just joined.
I now have the chance to get the RG ROO Chrono summer edition 2017. 26408OR.OO.A010CA.01 What do you guys think? I planned to get a RG ROO in 2018, but of course, if I am going for the summer edition now then i will just carry on with my saving plan in 2018. Please let me know what you guys think on the summer edition! Is it worth it? How you guys would comment on it regards to other RG AP/G AP/ROO? Cheers! I love the summer edition but IMO its an "in addition to" watch to another offshore in your collection. I would not get one if it was my only offshore, but i would love to add one to an existing collection.
Non ceramic bezel makes it more scratch prone and the color scheme does really make it more of a summer watch. Its a great looking watch though.

Another thing is, the 2017 Summer Edition is really an existing watch with new colour combo.
Of course, the gold bezel, gold crown and gold pushers are really beautiful. |

I also think it's an "addition to" watch...

The other option if it was me would be to flip the blue diver and get a black 15710 and get the summer edition as those two would look awesome together.

I would buy it. You could wear it all year -- it's not as if it says "SUMMER" in big font on the dial

i love the watch but it does scream "summer". They named it perfectly. Im very much looking forward to seeing it in person this weekend as I'm a big fan of the pics.

Being selfish...buy one and post an incoming thread...I'd love to see some more photos of this in the wild.
Being practical, the RG44 is likely a more versatile option. Even with the blue strap (very keen to see this!) l, I expect that the summer edition will really work best as a casual summer watch |

If the watch could talk, it would be saying "I feel absurd being worn with a white dress shirt...take me to the BEACH, for goodness sake!" :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Here's mine:
I have an RG44 and blue RG RO Chrono too. I've only had the SE for a week or so but adore it - if I had to chose from my three APs its (at this time) the SE I'd keep. But it really isn't a daily wearer as its very loud. As for summer watch, I'd agree, but with the dark blue strap it will be fine in the winter, and help brighten one's life a bit! My understanding is that these are nearing being sold out, so to get one at RRP you'd better hurry. |

Thank you for the replies guys
I agree the SE has a very bright and summer look. I think it will work all year round with the blue strap as well. Quote:
Since then, the SE has been growing on me, and here I am still contemplating. Well.. can't decide really.. I plan to keep all my watches. Hopefully, I can establish a not too bad collection as I grow, and pass to my next generation when they are here in the future. |

Please do let us know what you do. I'm assuming the one you tried on in August will have gone, as these aren't hanging about.
I admit part of it our me is the exclusivity. Seemingly the UK allocation is just three, of which mine is the second, and the third is reserved. The upshot is there won't be many in the UK. |

Yes I do too. I won't get mine changed until later this year.

From another perspective, it would be much easier to decide what to do if it's a non-limited model, pretty much we can buy the watch later in the year or next. The one I looked at and tried on in the boutique was an allocation for a customer. |

I love the watch and came close to getting but decided to pass. If I lived in a Florida or Southern California I would have gotten. Amazing looking but for me it wouldn't get enough wear for the price tag.

In truth I wasn't planning on buying another watch now, but I fell in love with the SE as soon as I saw it and reckon if I didn't get it now they'd be gone.

Its one of the best LE's though as sometimes they make LE's that are not as widely liked. This one could be a mainline production piece and do just fine.

i just meant its that nice. Some AP LE's have very limited appeal and its good they are LE's as they wouldn't sell otherwise. This one would sell fine with or without a LE status.
