Vintage 3009
Anybody have any more info that they can share on this piece? I can't really find much online so figured i'd ask the experts.

Sure it's 3009 :-)
This would be the hand wind version of the "bubble back" watch. I've owned a couple. Slightly smaller case, than the auto version but very slightly. 3 pieces case in 14k yellow. Dial is original. Hands have been relumed. Watch is by serial number and style of movement mid 1930's. I would say that likely the balance wheel was replaced at sometime with the later Super Balance rather than the earlier version. Calibre 710. Next to top grade chronometer movement, the top being the 18 jewel variety. No real difference except the 18 jewel version is jeweled to the center on the train bridge. The watch would be rare in that it is 30's and a USA imported watch...by the ROW mark on the balance cock. Very cool. Keeping or selling? |

very very cool watch! Unfortunately, unlike the sports models, BB (and manual versions) don't bring a lot of money - but very cool and interesting watch.
